Public involvement is one of the most important elements of a PD&E study. It is very important for the public to provide comments to FDOT about the proposed US 41 improvements. There are many ways for you to stay involved, such as small group meetings and a public hearing. Project newsletters will be mailed to all property owners within the study area as well as elected/appointed public officials at key points in the study.
The US 41 PD&E study process provides opportunities for you to view information about the project and to comment on the proposed improvements. Project information and documents are uploaded to the project website for review when they become available. Public involvement activities will continue throughout the duration of the PD&E study. Call, write, or email us to get involved!
FDOT will print and mail newsletters three times during this study:
- Project kickoff
- Prior to the public hearing
- End of the study
The mailing list includes:
- All property owners located within 300 feet
- Neighborhood and civic associations
- Local elected and appointed public officials
- Local, regional, and state agencies
- Anyone requesting to be included on the mailing list
FDOT staff are available for meetings with public officials, local civic organizations and other interested parties. These meetings will provide information on the project status, preliminary design concepts, and other study considerations. They also will provide an opportunity for those who have a stake or an interest in the proposed project to comment on the study’s findings. Anyone who wishes to comment about the project is encouraged to do so.
Please check this page periodically for current information regarding meeting schedules and meeting displays and graphics.
