1st Public Hearing

Public involvement is one of the most important elements of a PD&E study. It is very important for the public to provide comments to FDOT about the proposed US 301 improvements. There are many ways for you to stay involved, such as small group meetings and a public hearing.

The 1st Public Hearing for the US 301 PD&E Study was on March 24, 2022, at the FDOT District 7 office. A project newsletter was distributed to announce the public hearing to nearby landowners and individuals on the project mailing list. The results of the evaluation and the preferred alternative were presented at the public hearing. FDOT representatives were available to answer any questions regarding the project.

The hearing began with an open house at 5:30 p.m. and followed with a formal presentation and public comment period at 6:30 p.m. Following the formal portion, the informal open house resumed until 7:30 p.m. Written statements or exhibits submitted at the hearing, emailed, or mailed and postmarked by April 4, 2022, became part of the official public hearing record.
