2nd Public Hearing

Public involvement is one of the most important elements of a PD&E study. It is very important for the public to provide comments to FDOT about the proposed US 301 improvements. There are many ways for you to stay involved, such as small group meetings and a public hearing.

The 2nd Public Hearing for the US 301 PD&E Study was held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the FDOT District 7 office and virtually via GoToWebinar. A project newsletter was distributed to announce the public hearing to nearby landowners and individuals on the project mailing list. Updated alternatives were presented based on feedback from the first public hearing. FDOT representatives were available to answer any questions regarding the project.

The hearing began with an open house at 5:30 p.m. and followed with a formal presentation and public comment period at 6:30 p.m. Following the formal portion, the informal open house resumed until 7:30 p.m. Written statements or exhibits submitted at the hearing, emailed, or mailed and postmarked by August 11, 2023, become part of the official public hearing record.
