The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Seven held and Alternatives Public Workshop for the US 41/SR 45/Land O’Lakes Boulevard at SR 54 Feasibility Study. At the workshop, the Department presented information and received public input from interested persons regarding the proposed improvements.
The workshop was held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM with options to attend both in-person and online. The same materials were presented for both the in-person and virtual sessions. Meeting materials became available on the project website Friday, September 10th, 2021.
In-Person Session
The in-person session was held at the Keystone Community Church, 21010 SR 54, Lutz, FL from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The workshop consisted of an informal, open house format and there was a short video presentation discussing general project details which ran continuously throughout the workshop. The public was able to attend anytime during the two-hour meeting to review project information and talk one-on-one with project team members.
Registration was not required to attend in-person.
Virtual Session
Virtual attendees were required to register online at the following link via GoToWebinar: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/2594477323187338512.
Virtual online attendees were able to use the sign-in link emailed to them after registering. Between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM, attendees were able to view materials online and ask questions to FDOT staff through the GoToWebinar chat box.
A call-in option was not available.
Written comments could be submitted at any time during the workshop, or mailed back prior to and up to 10 days after the workshop (postmarked by Monday, September 27, 2021) to the address located on the back of the comment form. Comments may also be submitted by visiting the project website here.
